Remote Access to Software
Remote Access to Labs

Access to most of BW's lab software, your network drives, and Colleague from any remote location with Virtual Desktop!  Download the client at:

Panopto is BW's video capture and storage application.  Students may be asked to create video presentations that can be created in Panopto and submitted to Blackboard. Pantopto recording instructions can be found HERE.  In addition, this video will provide BW students with step-by-step instructions for creating a Panopto recording.


Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is an online classroom or meeting platform.  It is built into every course and organization at BW.  To get to your Collaborate room, open a course or org, select "Tools" from the left navigation menu.  Click on "Blackboard Collaborate Ultra."  At the top of the page, click on the link for the room.  Click "Join Room" and you're there!


VoiceThread can be used to record voice-overs on PowerPoint presentations.  Sometimes, your instructor will have a VoiceThread that each student will add audio comments to.  Find instructions on using VoiceThread HERE.  

Free Office 365 Software

Open your BW email account.  In the upper left corner, click on "Office 365." You will see all of the available apps.  Click "Install Office" to download the most recent version for FREE. 

Microsoft Teams

As part of the Office 365 Suite, you have access to Microsoft Teams collaboration software.  It includes document sharing, chat, audio/video meetings, and more.

The Cuyahoga County Public Library provides FREE access to LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) for all patrons with a LinkedIn account.  LinkedIn Learning is a collection of high-quality online training videos.

BW Jacket Print
"Jacket Print" for Students

"Jacket Print" kiosks are located all over the BW campus.  Students can purchase print cards at the Bookstore or load funds into their wēpa account at the terminal.  Set up your account at:  www.wepanow.com/login.

"Sharelink" Screen Share

Most of BW's classrooms and some gathering spaces feature installed Sharelink devices.  Sharelink allows you to use wireless technology to project from your own device to the screen in the room.  Click here to view instructions for using Sharelink.  

Equipment Loans

Did you know that you can borrow iPads, tablet computers, and A/V equipment such as microphones, webcams, tripods, document cameras, slideshow clickers, power strips, and extension cords from Ritter Library, Click here to see equipment availability. 

For Faculty/Staff Only:

MFD Printing for Fac/Staff

BW faculty and staff have access to centrally-located MFD (multi-function devices) to print, copy, scan, and fax.  Go to Computer Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners and locate the printer closest to you.  Set as default.

Mitel VoIP Telephones

Faculty and staff use the Mitel VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephone system and Mitel Communicator.  These quick reference instructions will assist you with telephone and voicemail setup.
